Now that we are almost 60 days into the Biden Administration where do you think we are going? I’ll tell you what I think. In 2007 then presidential candidate Barak Obama told us that he intended to fundamentally change the country, but even with super majorities in both houses of congress he could not get this done. Now, in 2021 old moderate Joe Biden who said in his inaugural speech that it was in his soul to bring people together and heal the nation is on the cusp of fundamental change. Joe sold himself to the electorate as someone who was ready, willing, and able to reach across the aisle and work with the opposition. In fact, voters were told by Joe that many Republicans had come to him and expressed a desire to work with him. Joe’s willingness to reach across the aisle has been shown to be blatant prevarication, or as Joe would say “a bunch of malarky”. On The Covid Relief Bill, the few Republicans who took Joe at his word, God only knows why, were soundly rebuffed out of hand when they went to the White House to discuss targeted spending. What did they think was going to happen? Did they believe that weak Joe Biden, who no longer has any true guiding principles and has changed all his positions in the last year, would incur the wrath of the left of his party? How naïve, and I thought only Mitt Romney was that gullible. What is that bill called now? Oh yes “The American Rescue Plan” what a steaming pile of human excrement! With only 9% of the bill going to Covid relief the rest is well, I don’t know. The kindest thing I can say is it is a slush fund for all the pork near and dear to Democrats hearts. The tried-and-true Democrat adage comes to mind “Never let a Crisis go to Waste” and they are taking full advantage of that right now. We still have fencing surrounding the Capitol with National Guard troops standing watch under the guise of some nebulous threat of another undefined future attack on the capitol by some shadowy group of white supremacists. All while ignoring the rioting, looting and arson that occurred much of last year at the behest of the likes of Antifa and Black Lives Matter. An administration under siege? Really? An administration selling a Covid relief plan which is not a Covid relief plan. Joe came into office asking us to wear masks for 100 days which quickly turned into a year, but since Joe does not have the authority to mandate this, he has turned to OSHA who can federally mandate workplace regulations as a work around. The Democrats cannot help themselves they have to regulate every facet of our lives because they think they know what is best for everybody. This is who they are. Believe me when I tell you this is just the beginning. Joe is just getting started from giving relief checks to people in prison and free health care to illegal immigrants. We are now on our merry way to a Universal Basic Income and Reparations. The Democrats will use every trick to push through these hair brained socialist ideas and they will let no so called moderates such as WVA Senator Joe Mansion and AZ Senator Krysten Sinema stop them. They will roll over so quickly it will take your breath away. The same way they did on the Covid Relief bill. Remember Mansion said he would only vote for Covid Relief if it was bi-partisan, yeah sure. Moderate my ass.
The same is true for the debacle at the southern border. Oh, my mistake the challenge at the southern border the only problem is that you do not send FEMA to a “challenge”. It is not called the Federal Challenge Management Administration. It is called the Federal Emergency Management Administration which brings light to the series of canards the media happily supports from this White House. The system has been overwhelmed by Joe’s campaign promises to open the borders from the beginning. There are reports that children are sleeping on the floors in shifts and can only bathe every 5th day. These reports cannot be confirmed because the administration will not allow the media in these facilities supposedly for reasons concerning Covid. At the same time authorities at the border are releasing Covid positive illegals adults and families with their “catch and release” program into the nation with no quarantining. The administration is literally taking bus loads of illegal immigrants and dropping them off in towns all over the southwest without notifying anyone that they are coming. These towns are totally unprepared for the influx of homeless that they are now expected to take care of. The fiasco along the Rio Grande was predictable, but it won’t stay there. As soon as the administration gets some semblance of control in that area it will shift to another area where they are unprepared. The cartels have a plan to keep this crisis going.
This from an administration that promised to always be transparent. Apparently, this does not extend to word games and obfuscation. I would say that the media had lost their way, but that belies the fact that they stop doing their job years ago. Starting in earnest with carrying Bill Clinton’s water in the “Monica Affair”. Then falling all over Barak Obama. Asking an occasional hard question allowing Obama to answer with a long-winded dissertation that said nothing with no follow up to ask for an answer. They are now totally asleep with Joe Biden uninterested in asking any questions at all. Happily making excuses for what is transpiring as if it is great policy. The mainstream media is guilty of what is referred to in legal terms as “Willful Blindness”. Willful blindness is generally defined as an attempt to avoid liability for a wrongful act by intentionally failing to make reasonable inquiry when faced with the suspicion or awareness of the high likelihood of wrongdoing. Now, I am well aware that the media cannot and will not be prosecuted for “Willful Blindness”, but by any metric this is what they are engaged in. Dana Perino a Fox New Contributor and former White House Press Secretary has said that soon this will change, and the media will have to start doing their job. The idea that the widely reviled Donald Trump gave them access and the much loved, transparent Joe Biden has not made them look bad. They are slowly opening their eyes, if only about the border crisis, and starting to ask for access to holding facilities. The White House for its part has finally permitted limited entry to staged well managed facilities. These are not the CBP (Customs and Border Patrol) processing centers with massive overcrowding with poor hygiene and unlivable conditions, but contrived propaganda. The President said in his news conference that he would be transparent when he could, but he did not know when that would be! So much for “Good old honest lunch bucket Joe”. The mainstream media will soon revert to doing their job as they see it. They believe that they are the watch dogs for the Democrat Party much like The People’s Daily in the People’s Republic of China. And like any good communists they believe that what is good for the party is good for the country!!! That should trouble you!!!
In the old days we thought that country always trumped party apparently that is no longer true.
